GREEN TEA CAN FIGHT OFF CANCER CELLS

In the past, green tea was a common beverage throughout Asia. Recently, studies have shown that green tea provides many health benefits. In Asia, records began in 1994 regarding benefits from drinking green tea. Scientists from Shanghai Cancer Institute carried out a survey on the subject of tea drinking and smoking on a large scale. According to the results, the combination of green tea and no-smoking showed that it will reduce the chances of esophageal cancer
Since then, scientists have tried to find out the reasons why green tea prevents cancer and how does it affect our body once consumed.


GREEN TEA AND CANCER
Over time, studies showed that drinking Green tea will reduce the risk and dangers of bladder, intestine, esophagus, pancreas, arse and stomach cancer. Polyphenols are a natural antioxidant blend in herbs; it is the blend that prevents the start of cancer cells. The polyphenols is generally divided into hydrolysable tannins and phenylpropanoids.

Green tea is clearly proven to prevent cancer as an experiment on rats showed that green tea reduced lung cancer when they were injected with 0.6% of green tea solution. As the scientists watched, they learned it also restrained angiogenesis, which is the development of new blood vessels that feed the cancer. Epigallocatehins-3 gallate (EGCG) is a kind of catechins in green tea that is proven by scientists it can prevent breast cancer. EGCG also prevents blood cancer cells from connecting together, especially for though who are over 60. At the Mayo Clinic experiment, eight out of ten patients that drank green tea over a period of time showed signs that their cancer cells were destroyed.
